The alu series - Versilia

The Orange Project and The Dirt-One are done, this mean two out -> two in...

While I'm finishing the TR-1 it's time to present you the second bike of the "alu series"

Yes, it has already some racing pedigree...
As I wrote before, it will be one of the two "alu series" bikes so, like The Bullet, I'm working on a full alluminium body, starting from the fairing.

Then starting build a shape for the new gas tank

I usually like to work a lot on the frame and geometry of the bike, but in this case apart from the great weight loss and the Marchesini forged magnesium wheels, I think it's pointless... but don't worry, I have quite a surprise in store for you!

A new (big) project

This time it may look easy, but I can assure you it is not...

Ladies and gentleman, let me introduce you

"THE BULLET"

2007 KTM 950 SM

This will be a "skinny and low" racer, so the geometry of the bike has to be changed radically

Working on the new rake angle

And building a new monoshock linkage

Also, new front end, new rims, swingarm, monoshock...

Check the progress later on.

To make things interesting, it will be one of the two "Alu Series" bikes...

I'm still here

Really sorry for the lack of posts in the past month or so, I was quite busy with a couple of photoshoot for The Orange Project and The Dirt-1, started a new (big!) project (updates soon), worked on some changes for the TR-1 (again, updates soon) and burned a lot of gas testing the Dirt-1...what a blast!

I really love that bike, it came out really, really fun to ride and I'd never stop doing it!

However the racing gas tank is very small, only 4 litres...and if you go hard on the throttle, they won't last long...

So I decided to make an emergency gas tank, just in case...
